Marketing & Content Coordinator – For an international Accounting firm
Location: Mossel Bay, Western Cape, South Africa
Type: Full-time – In office
Salary: R8 000 R28 000 per month, depending on qualifications and years of experience.
About the Role
Sagen Advisory is recruiting on behalf of our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking accounting firm with an international footprint and a strong local presence. Our client’s team of 35 operates from offices in Cape Town, London, and Mossel Bay, with their founder leading from Ibiza. They specialize in providing comprehensive financial solutions to a diverse client base, from local businesses in the Garden Route to multinational corporations. Their mission is to blend global expertise with personalized, regional service.
Our client has a reputation for their deep industry knowledge and client-first approach, and they are now ready to bring their unique story to a wider audience. They want to showcase their global reach, their commitment to their clients, and the vibrant, collaborative culture that connects their teams across continents.
The Position
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Marketing & Content Coordinator to be the client’s first in-house marketing hire. This is a hands-on role where you will be the key driver of their digital presence from the Mossel Bay office. You will be responsible for ensuring their brand voice is consistent and engaging, reflecting both their local roots and their international identity.
You don’t need to be a marketing veteran. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally organized, has a keen eye for compelling content, and is eager to learn about the global accounting and finance world. Your role is crucial for making sure their marketing efforts are consistent and effective across all platforms, particularly through their HubSpot CRM.
What You’ll Do
-
Content Planning & Management: Plan, schedule, and post content across the company’s key social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube). You will manage the content calendar to maintain a consistent presence and ensure all content aligns with the international brand strategy.
-
Cultural Storytelling: Find and share the firm’s authentic stories from all three offices. This includes sharing team wins, client success stories, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the professional and social culture, and thought leadership from team members in all locations.
-
Content Creation: Create and edit simple graphics using tools like Canva, and produce short-form videos. This involves editing content from team members in various locations to make it dynamic and suitable for social media. You will also assist in drafting simple blogs and newsletters.
-
Community Engagement: Actively monitor social media platforms, responding to comments and messages to build a strong online community. You will engage with clients, partners, and local business communities in all regions.
-
Performance Reporting: Track the performance of content using HubSpot and Google Analytics, and social media reporting tools. You will produce monthly reports on key metrics like reach and engagement to help inform future content decisions for the global audience.
-
HubSpot Administration: Manage and update contact lists, track marketing campaign performance, and help with basic email marketing tasks within the HubSpot platform.
-
External Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between the firm and its external partners (e.g., website developers, SEO consultants) to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned and supported across the board.
What We’re Looking For
-
A recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or content-focused role.
-
A passion for and familiarity with using social media platforms for business purposes.
-
Experience with HubSpot and Google Analytics is a significant advantage, especially with its marketing and CRM features. Familiarity with other social media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) is also a plus.
-
Proficiency in content creation tools like Canva and other image/video editing tools.
-
Exceptional writing and communication skills in English and Afrikaans are a must, given the Mossel Bay office location.
-
An exceptionally organized, adaptable, creative, and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines and who is professional in all forms of communication.
-
A curious mindset and a genuine interest in the business and financial world.
What You’ll Get
-
The unique opportunity to shape the digital presence of a respected international firm.
-
A collaborative and supportive team environment with colleagues across different time zones.
-
Mentorship and training to help you grow your marketing skills.
-
A chance to work in a beautiful, dynamic part of the Western Cape
