About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Spa Manager to join our client’s ultra-luxury boutique safari lodge in Greater Hoedspruit, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the brand-new spa from concept input and treatment menu design through to therapist recruitment, training, and day-to-day management once operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lodge management on the design, concept, and operational setup of the new spa
  • Assist with treatment menu development aligned to the lodge’s luxury positioning and wellness philosophy
  • Input on product house selection, equipment requirements, and spa layout
  • Develop all spa SOPs, guest journey protocols, and service standards from scratch
  • Recruit, train, and develop the spa therapy team
  • Manage the day-to-day spa operation once open, ensuring consistent delivery of a 5-star guest experience
  • Drive spa revenue through exceptional service, upselling, and retail
  • Manage stock, retail displays, therapist scheduling, and administrative functions
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and professional conduct throughout

Requirements

  • Relevant Somatology, Beauty Therapy or Spa Management qualification – essential
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a spa management role, preferably within a luxury lodge or 5-star hotel environment
  • Proven experience in spa development, new openings, or concept building – strongly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of treatment menu design and product house selection

Salary & Benefits

Gross Salary: R20,000 per month. Live-in: Single accommodation provided. Meals on duty.
