About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial leadership and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, as well as managing internal controls to mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze monthly reporting
- Assist with formulating the group’s annual budget
- Accurately forecast financial performance
- Manage internal controls to mitigate risk
- Experience in systems management, costing, and IFRS
- Prepare VAT returns, VAT recons, and annual/provisional income tax returns
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Completed BComm or related degree
- CIMA or SAIPA accreditation
- 5-10 years experience performing a full financial function
- Proven experience in monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting
- Ability to work under pressure with an assertive and proactive working style
- Track record in meeting deadlines
