About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician with a strong background in manufacturing environments to join our team in Uitenhage. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting electrical systems, and providing technical support to production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on factory equipment.
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems and machinery.
- Complete and close maintenance job cards accurately and on time.
- Maintain and support PLCs, robots, and automated systems.
- Ensure machines and processes operate efficiently and according to specifications.
- Provide technical support to production and factory teams.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and regulations.
- Assist with cost control initiatives and reducing operational waste.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Automotive Engineering or Information Technology (NQF 6).
- Trade Test qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical or Electronic Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming experience.
- Experience with robotics and automated systems.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP, and MES systems).
