About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our team in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and expansion across South Africa and Africa. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the implementation of business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with existing and prospective clients via telephone and email
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and client correspondence
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support business development initiatives across South Africa and Africa
  • Identify and follow up on new business opportunities
  • Maintain CRM and customer records
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding customer requirements and order progress
  • Assist with customer queries, after-sales support, and problem resolution
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Assist with trade shows, exhibitions, and related events when required
  • Compile sales and customer activity reports

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a sales support, internal sales, business development, or commercial coordination role
  • Exposure to or knowledge of the marine/boating industry is highly advantageous
  • Candidates with a personal interest or involvement in boating/fishing/marine activities will also be considered
