Hire Resolve’s client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join their team in Umhlanga.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, analyze, and manage water resource systems such as water supply, stormwater, wastewater, and irrigation systems.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.
• Develop and evaluate design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
• Ensure that projects are finished on schedule and under budget by working together with project managers, other engineers, and clients.
• Review and approve engineering design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that water resource systems are designed and installed per applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to water resources engineering.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 – 15 years of experience in water engineering
• Proven experience in water resource engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration – Bonus
• Strong knowledge of water engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in using software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
• In-depth knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to water engineering.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and other water software packages.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proven track record of delivering successful water engineering projects
