About the Role
Join a luxury boutique lodge in the Southwest Waterberg, Limpopo, as a seasoned Field Guide ahead of its 2026 reopening. Adjacent to Welgevonden Game Reserve, this property offers exclusive seven-night, fixed-stay safaris for international guests via a European agency—ensuring a predictable operational rhythm and elevated guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional Big 5 experiences and create memorable moments on and off the vehicle.
- Host guests with warm, personalised attention, including dinner hosting and confident interaction.
- Ensure safe and enjoyable game drives, adhering to lodge policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of game drives, client interactions, and lodge operations.
- Participate in upselling game drives and activities to enhance guest experiences.
Requirements
- Fluent in Afrikaans, Dutch or Flemish (non-negotiable)
- FGASA Field Guide qualification
- CATHSSETA certificate
- NDT registration
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- PDP
- First Aid
- 2–4 years’ guiding experience in a Big 5 reserve

Note:
Guides retain direct individual gratuities (not part of shared pool). Meals: Lunch & dinner during rostered on-duty period. Work cycle: 6 days off/month; 15 days annual leave.
