About the Role
Creative Leadership Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team in the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. As an Accountant with Creative Leadership Solutions, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our business, ensuring timely submissions to regulatory bodies, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain customer master data and related financial information within the order-to-cash cycle
- Manage the sales, invoicing, and billing processes within the order-to-cash cycle
- Oversee debtors accounts and collections within the order-to-cash cycle
- Perform credit management and customer account monitoring within the order-to-cash cycle
- Provide financial support relating to customer accounts within the order-to-cash cycle
- Maintain supplier master data and contract information within the procure-to-pay cycle
- Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice processing within the procure-to-pay cycle
- Coordinate supplier payments and reconciliations within the procure-to-pay cycle
- Manage supplier relationships and banking interactions within the procure-to-pay cycle
- Monitor company spend and perform spend analytics within the procure-to-pay cycle
- Maintain and review the Chart of Accounts to support reporting requirements within the record-to-report cycle
- Manage fixed asset accounting including additions, disposals, and depreciation within the record-to-report cycle
- Process payroll accounting and related entries within the record-to-report cycle
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations within the record-to-report cycle
- Identify and resolve discrepancies within financial records within the record-to-report cycle
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports within the financial reporting category
- Assist with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) within the financial reporting category
- Prepare tax-related financial reports within the financial reporting category
- Assist with management reporting and financial analysis within the financial reporting category
- Ensure timely submissions to regulatory bodies including tax and statutory authorities within the regulatory compliance category
- Maintain compliance with company legislation and tax regulations within the regulatory compliance category
- Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory frameworks within the regulatory compliance category
- Coordinate and support the annual audit process within the regulatory compliance category
- Support company secretarial compliance where required within the regulatory compliance category
- Manage all aspects of tax administration and compliance within the tax & VAT compliance category
- Prepare VAT calculations, reconciliations, and submissions within the tax & VAT compliance category
- Ensure accurate tax reporting and payments within the tax & VAT compliance category
- Process month-end journals and adjustments within the month-end accounting processes category
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register within the month-end accounting processes category
- Raise accruals and prepayment adjustments within the month-end accounting processes category
- Maintain inter-company loan accounts and related transactions within the month-end accounting processes category
- Process provisions including leave pay and debtor discounts within the month-end accounting processes category
- Process cashbooks and maintain accurate bank records within the banking & cash management category
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations within the banking & cash management category
- Follow up on outstanding reconciling items within the banking & cash management category
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts within the banking & cash management category
- Monitor creditor payments and financial commitments within the banking & cash management category
Requirements
- B.Com Accounting or similar qualification
- 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
- Previous experience in the retail industry would be advantageous.
