About the Role
We are seeking a Fashion Design Graduate/Seamstress to join our team at Blum and Hofmeyr, a leading international Retailer in the Western Cape region. As a creative and detail-oriented individual, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment close to the CBD and Northern Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with peak periods and weekends
- Discuss customer requirements
- Complete bodices
- Use straight machine, hem roll machine, blind stitch, and overlocker
- Familiarize with industrial machines
- Maintain well-groomed appearance
Requirements
- Matric
- Strong sewing skills
- Understanding of garments, alteration, reconstruction, styling, and fabrication
- Experience in bridal attire, suits, and dress making
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Beadwork experience
- Strong customer service abilities
- Well-spoken
