About the Role

Hire Resolve, a renowned organisation in the FMCG/Food & Beverage sector, is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Montagu, Western Cape. We are looking for a technically strong candidate with completed articles and a solid understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance to play a key role in our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
Manage month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and provisions.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
Support statutory reporting and tax-related submissions.
Assist with internal and external audits.

Requirements

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
25 years post-articles experience in a financial accounting role.
FMCG/Food or manufacturing industry experience is advantageous.
Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency.
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
SAICA or SAIPA membership (advantageous).
