Job Description
- Develop and coordinate detailed MEP BIM models in Autodesk Revit
- Lead HVAC, fire protection, and wet services modelling activities
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
- Maintain Revit families, templates, and BIM standards
- Produce coordinated layouts, drawings, and technical documentation
- Support model collaboration and version control within BIM environments
- Extract quantities and assist with cost estimation
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors
- Review models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
- Mentor junior BIM modellers
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5–8 years MEP BIM Revit modelling experience
- Advanced Autodesk Revit (MEP) proficiency
- Strong Navisworks coordination experience
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, and wet services systems
- Experience with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination
- Understanding of SANS 10400 compliance requirements
- Exposure to ASHRAE / NFPA standards advantageous
- Experience on commercial, healthcare, or industrial projects
- Strong coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Qualification:
- Grade 12 / N3 (essential)
- Diploma or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
