Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper account classification Assist with budget preparation and financial planning Monitor and improve financial procedures and internal controls Analyse financial data and provide insights or recommendations to management Travel Between our Branches (CT – JNB) Manage and Recon intercompany transactions Prepare Monthly Management accountants Skills & Experience: 5 years experience in accounting Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations Proficient in Sage accounting software and MS Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Qualification: BCom or BCompt Degree in Accounting Contact BRITNEY HATTINGH on

Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Review and approve journals before posting in the financial system to ensure accuracy and compliance Oversee account reconciliations and prepare trial balance reports to support balance sheet reviews with finance leadership Ensure completion and review of financial controls Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reviewing monthly results with the finance team Oversee standard month-end reporting, including client and profitability reports Review and approve accruals, ensuring alignment with the finance team Collaborate with finance leadership to review and validate revenue calculations Monitor intercompany accounts, ensuring all balances are accurate and reconciled Support the preparation of statutory accounts Upload budgets and forecasts into finance systems Work closely with colleagues across the finance centre to maintain operational efficiency and support overall success Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen processes and controls Provide timely, high-quality information to support internal and external audits Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 plus years experience in IFRS controls The client would like the person to have shared service experience as this will be an asset to the company Qualification: Degree Completed articles will be seen as an advantage Connect with us on

My client is looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives on clarity, consistency, and building financial confidence across a fast-growing group. Who the client is: An ambitious, purpose-led ICT organisation scaling across Southern Africa. They move fast, stay grounded, and care deeply about doing things the right way. What the role is about: You’ll own monthly accounting cycles end-to-end, safeguard compliance in South Africa and Namibia, and turn data into decision-ready reporting. Your work will keep leadership informed, teams aligned, and auditors impressed. What you’ll be doing: Run monthly payroll and ensure statutory accuracy Process supplier payments; maintain debtors/creditors and bank reconciliations Reconcile GL and intercompany loan accounts; maintain asset register Prepare monthly management reports, cash-flow forecasts, and annual financial statements File all regulatory returns; manage SARS matters; ensure compliance with SA/Namibian standards and legislation Strengthen internal controls and handle ad-hoc finance queries What we’re looking for: BComm Accounting (required); Honours advantageous 5 years’ accounting experience covering the above responsibilities Strong VAT/tax knowledge; up-to-date with accounting/auditing standards Proficiency in Xero; SimplePay exposure a plus; Advanced Excel a must Meticulous, organised, and comfortable managing deadlines in a dynamic environment Clear communicator and collaborative team player with sound judgement and discretion Resilient and perseverant, with the strength of character and staying power to thrive in a challenging entrepreneurial environment What’s in it for you: Real ownership across the full finance function and room to shape better processes Exposure to multi-entity operations and cross-border compliance Supportive, outcomes-driven culture that values initiative and continuous improvement Ready to apply? Job Description

Managing monthly payroll processes. Capturing and processing supplier payments. Reconciling debtors, creditors, bank accounts, and intercompany loans. Handling all SARS-related submissions and regulatory returns. Preparing monthly financial reports, annual budgets, and cash flow forecasts. Delivering Annual Financial Statements and monthly group consolidations. Maintaining internal controls and overseeing the fixed asset register. Responding to ad-hoc financial queries and requests. Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-spectrum accounting experience. Advanced Excel skills and an eye for detail. Proficiency in Xero and Caseware ; knowledge of SimplePay is advantageous. Deep knowledge of financial legislation, tax compliance, and reporting standards. The ability to work independently, think critically, and deliver under pressure. Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset. Qualification: A BCom or equivalent qualification (Honours is a bonus). Contact Refiloe Mofokeng on

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Accounting and maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger across the subsidiaries, as well as analysis in relation to those areas on a monthly basis. Overall responsibility for driving the monthly close process, ensuring that the entities in the group are closed accurately and timeously in line with the Group close objectives each month. Work with shared services for financial operations to ensure payroll, AP and AR is correctly reflected in financial reporting. Act as a first reviewer on the allocated areas within the close process to ensure the output of the processes above is in line with expectations before Group Finance Manager reviews. Balance sheet reconciliations Collaborate and support the FP&A function on an ad hoc basis. Manage the group audit, as well as regulatory compliance reporting and tax filings. Assist with the statutory audits as it relates to the functions performed at a group level Assist with ad hoc requests and prepare any necessary internal reporting as needed. Proactively anticipate and identify issues and design solutions to address them. Requirements: B.Commerce, SAIPA or similar with accounting tertiary education Experience as a self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a complex environment with evolving priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with Excel analysis and manipulation of large data sets, including use of pivot tables and lookup formulas. Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, and the ability to deliver clean and concise outputs. Proficient in processing transactions in an ERP system, including Sage Intacct or similar systems such as Netsuite/Quickbooks/Xero Strong knowledge of international accounting, reporting and auditing standards.
