Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading engineering consulting firm in Cape Town who is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures, ensuring their safety and integrity. You will work closely with architects and construction professionals to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and analyze structures, such as buildings, bridges, and dams
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Prepare technical drawings and specifications
Perform structural calculations and simulations
Collaborate with architects, construction professionals, and clients to develop innovative and efficient solutions
Conduct site visits to assess structural conditions and provide recommendations
Maintain documentation of design processes and project progress
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BSc Civil Eng)
Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural engineering
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
