About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As the trusted finance lead for a portfolio of US-based clients, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounting function and ensuring accuracy, insight, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a portfolio of US-based clients, acting as their trusted finance lead and primary point of contact
- Oversee the end-to-end accounting function, from transactional review to month-end close, management reporting, and compliance under US GAAP
- Manage and mentor a small team, reviewing work, driving standards, and improving processes across platforms like Xero and NetSuite
- Perform hands-on delivery of high-quality accounting services
Requirements
- Completed SAICA articles and registered CA(SA)
- Minimum 2-3 years post article experience
- Experience performing the accounting function including month end close
- Managerial experience
- Exposure to US GAAP
- Netsuite system exposure beneficial
