About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Banqueting Coordinator to join our team at 5* Luxury Country Lodge in Muldersdrift. As the primary liaison between clients and hotel operations, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events, conferences, and weddings to ensure high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests and understanding event needs
- Conducting site inspections
- Preparing function sheets and coordinating room layouts
- Ensuring AV/multimedia equipment is set up
- Leading waitrons, bartenders, and casual staff to ensure 5-star service standards
- Managing booking systems, monitoring budgets, and processing billing documentation
- Ensuring compliance with food and beverage safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- At least 1–4 years in banquet, events, or Food & Beverage (F&B) operations within the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Well-organized with strong administrative and numeracy skills
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Pleasant disposition
- Able to communicate with managers on all levels
- Able to maintain set standards
