Bloemfontein: Safety Officer

About the Role

The Safety Officer is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees in Bloemfontein. This role requires a strong background in safety management and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessment and propose preventative measures
• Verify that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use
• Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations
• Maintain awareness of active and developing situations
• Ensure preparation and implementation of Safety and Health plan
• Stand-by after hours as and when required

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate of equivalent to NQF4
• SAMTRAC or NBOSH certificate
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Safety Officer (Preferred 4 years’ experience)
• Valid RSA driver’s license with own reliable transport
