About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance activities on plant equipment.
  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, repairs, and root cause analysis on plant equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance job cards are accurately completed and closed.
  • Maintain and optimise machine process capabilities.
  • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and robotic systems.
  • Provide electrical engineering services aligned with production requirements.
  • Stay up to date with equipment and process requirements using maintenance manuals and production documentation.
  • Provide ad hoc technical support across the factory as required.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Experience with ERP Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming and robotic systems

Qualifications

  • National Diploma in Electronic / Electrical / Automotive / Information Technology (NQF 6)
  • Trade Test
