Job Description

Requirements A minimum of a Bachelors Degre in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent A relevant data management certification (e.g. CDMP Associate) A minimum of five to eight years experience in a data management environment Duties and Responsibilities Profile data assets based on defined data quality dimensions relevant to the business process or problem, such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability, and timeliness. Assess the extent to which data is fit for purpose for its intended use and remediate any data quality shortcomings in line with data quality thresholds. Assess the business impact of identified data quality issues to determine the significance of the problems to business operations. Conduct root-cause analysis on identified data quality issues in order to address the challenges at source. Conduct an assessment of data quality maturity levels within the organisation against best practices. Monitor, measure, and compare data quality assessment results against data requirements. Define and implement data quality measurements and metrics for critical data elements to support reliable decision-making. Monitor, measure, and report on data quality levels to create the necessary awareness and understanding of data reliability. Enable the improvement of data quality levels by guiding and training data owners, data stewards, and data users in all aspects of data quality management, e.g. definition of data quality business rules, data quality service levels, profiling, analysis, and assessment of data quality. Remediate data quality issues to limit the recurrence of such issues. Develop and manage stakeholder relationships effectively to promote data quality awareness across the organisation and support reliable decision-making. Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, issue tracking, and monitor the technical status of data quality. Develop reports relating to data quality management and associated activities. Drive the automation of data quality management processes and functions.
