About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Manager with property experience to join our client’s team in Milnerton, Cape Town. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for the finance function, manage significant funds across multiple entities, and lead a well-established team of 10-12. You will operate closely with the business to ensure precision, control, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are consistently met
- Own the full month-end process, including management accounts and reporting
- Review and sign off on reconciliations, VAT submissions, and key financial outputs
- Oversee billing, debit orders, receipting, and fund allocations
- Manage owner payments across multiple portfolios within strict timelines
- Authorise EFT payments and maintain strong banking and compliance controls
- Act as systems lead across finance platforms
- Prepare audit files and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA)
- 2-4 years post-article private sector experience
- Commercial Property experience highly advantageous
- Experience with finance platforms such as MRI, EFTsure, AP Automate advantageous
- Proven Financial Manager experience with full function ownership
- Strong team leadership and people management ability
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience in multi-entity or high-volume environments
- Strong controls, compliance, and reporting experience
