• Plant and Equipment Design
• Develop complete plant layouts based on process requirements and client input.
• Perform concept and detailed design of mechanical equipment and plant systems.
• Model large mechanical assemblies in 3D CAD.
• Produce General Arrangement drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Manufacturing Drawings
• Generate manufacturing drawings and DXF files for CNC cutting.
• Prepare assembly drawings and exploded views.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and practical for fabrication.
• Product Development
• Assist with development of standard plant equipment and product designs.
• Compile procurement lists, supplier information, and supporting documentation.
• Engineering & Workshop Support
• Provide technical support to workshop and installation teams.
• Assist with resolving engineering or fabrication problems.
• Participate in manufacturing and process planning.

Drawing Office Responsibilities

• Maintain CAD models, assemblies, and configurations.
• Ensure proper drawing revision control and documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, storage, and backups.
• Check drawings for correctness, accuracy, and manufacturability.
• Ensure internal engineering standards are followed.
• Manage or guide other designers when required.

Quality and Design Reviews

• Conduct design reviews with management and engineering teams.
• Participate in client design review meetings when required.
• Identify recurring design issues and implement improvement checklists.
• Ensure all designs meet technical, safety, and manufacturing standards.

Project Coordination

• Develop drawing schedules aligned with project timelines.
• Coordinate design activities with engineering and project teams.
• Track drawing progress and update project schedules.
• Support project execution from design through installation.

Procurement and Technical Support

• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement.
• Assist with sourcing or reviewing components.
• Check received parts against design specifications.
• Support procurement teams with technical clarification.

Marketing and Quotation Support

• Assist with concept designs for project quotations.
• Prepare technical scopes of work.
• Support engineering teams with costing information.
• Assist in preparation of technical documentation for proposals.

Technical Requirements

• Software Experience

Experience Requirements
Minimum Requirements

• Mechanical Draughting Diploma or Engineering Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years SolidWorks design experience.
• Experience producing fabrication drawings.
