About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher with expertise in Space Physics to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking cutting-edge research and development, as well as contributing to international and national partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake cutting edge research and development
- Participate in human capacity development and outreach activities
- Provide general administration support
Requirements
- PhD in Space Science/Space Physics/Applied Mathematics/Engineering
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a research or academic position
- Excellent research track record with a focus on space weather physics
- Peer-reviewed publications with a preference for first-author papers (minimum 1 p.a.)
- Demonstrated track record in human capital development with a preference for postgraduate student supervision
- Experience in research proposal writing
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications in Space Science/Space Physics/Applied Mathematics/Engineering
