About the Role
The AFMS Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Electrician to join our team in Mitchells Plain. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for managing various medical equipment services, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission medical equipment
- Maintain medical equipment
- Execute planned, preventative, and reactive/corrective maintenance requirements and activities
- Conduct visual inspections of medical equipment
- Ensure patient safety at all times
- Manage inventory of medical equipment
- Perform first-line maintenance
- Assist/supervise subject matter experts on site
- Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule of medical equipment
- Record and link maintenance to assets
- Capture self-performed and sub-contracted services for all assets
- Develop effective customer-focused relationships at all levels
- Provide regular reports on maintenance and asset condition
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules and guidelines
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Min 2-year maintenance working experience in a built environment
- Good comprehension of English/Afrikaans language
- Code B Drivers License
- People and Management Skill
- Multi-skilled
- Good people skills
- Practical work experience
- Hands-on person
- Ability to plan, organize, and control own work effort
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
