About the Role
The Assistant Electrician role at our company is a critical position that requires a skilled and experienced individual to manage various medical equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, maintaining equipment availability, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of medical equipment
- Maintain medical equipment
- Execute planned, preventative and reactive / corrective maintenance requirements and activities
- Assessment (visual inspections) medical equipment
- Ensuring patient safety at all times
- Inventory management
- Maintain availability of medical equipment
- Conduct first line maintenance
- Assist/supervise subject matter experts on site
- Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule of the medical equipment
- Maintenance of the equipment must be recorded and linked to the assets
- Self-performed and sub contracted services must both be captured for all the assets
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Min 2-year maintenance working experience in a built environment
- Good comprehension of English / Afrikaans language
- Code B Drivers License
- People and Management Skill
- Multi skilled
- Good people skills
- Practical work experience
- Hands-on person
- Ability to plan, organize and control own work effort
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Well-motivated
