About the Role
You will take on a strategic leadership role, driving the delivery of market risk projects across a diverse client base. The position offers exposure to sophisticated trading environments, regulatory transformation initiatives, and enterprise-wide risk frameworks. You will also play a key role in shaping client strategies, influencing senior stakeholders, and contributing to the continued growth of a specialist risk advisory function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of market risk engagements within banking and trading environments
- Provide technical oversight on risk methodologies, including VaR, expected shortfall, sensitivities, and stress testing
- Advise clients on regulatory frameworks and capital requirements (including global and local standards)
- Design, review, and enhance market risk frameworks, models, and governance structures
- Manage and mentor teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across risk, treasury, and trading functions
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including proposals and thought leadership
Requirements
Honours or Masters degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Quantitative Finance)
812 years experience in market risk within financial services or advisory environments
Deep understanding of market risk methodologies and regulatory frameworks
