Introduction:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s manufacturing team as a Junior Administrative and Wages Clerk. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our manufacturing department and assist with processing payroll for our employees.
Responsibilities:
– Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
– Prepare, process, and distribute payroll for hourly employees.
– Prepare and submit payroll deductions and remittances to appropriate governing bodies.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and timesheets.
– Assist with monitoring and tracking employee attendance and hours worked.
– Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
– Complete other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
– Matric
– 3 years of experience in a Wages clerk role within manufacturing or similar
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Knowledge of payroll processing and basic accounting principles.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
– Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a requirement
