About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Stock Controller to join a prestigious private game reserve located in the Sabi Sands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling stock count processes and procedures across various inventories, ensuring accurate capture of inventory data and stock counts onto the system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Finance Administrator
  • Manage and control stock count processes and procedures across various inventories
  • Capture inventory data and stock counts accurately onto the system
  • Conduct regular spot checks, weekly stock takes, and monitor stock rotation (including fridge management and stock levels)
  • Investigate and report variances in stock
  • Oversee stock issues across various operational areas
  • Manage purchasing orders for equipment, services, and supplies
  • Place orders based on par stock levels and identified requirements
  • Verify deliveries and ensure purchase orders are complete and accurate
  • Prevent overstocking and unnecessary ordering
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking
  • Track all incoming deliveries and ensure proper receipt
  • Compile accurate reports on stock and supply balances
  • Audit stock holding areas to ensure compliance with procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a stock controller, receiver, or similar role
  • High school qualification required; tertiary qualification in business or related field advantageous
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Advanced Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyse data and implement improved processes
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of staff and management
