About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee crop production on a permanent crop farm in Paarl. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and proven experience in managing farm operations, with a focus on sustainable and efficient farming practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily farm operations effectively
- Maintain accurate production and operational records
- Implement corrective actions based on soil and leaf analysis results
- Supervise staff, contractors, and seasonal labour
- Ensure compliance with irrigation systems and water management
- Plan and implement fertilisation programmes
- Monitor plant health management
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field
- Proven experience in farm management, preferably within permanent crops
- Strong working knowledge of soil analysis, fertilisation programmes, and plant health management
- Ability to interpret soil and leaf analysis results
- Experience managing staff, contractors, and seasonal labour
