Duties:
 

  • Managing product costing and driving margin improvement initiatives
  • Analysing and maintaining standard costing within SAP systems
  • Conducting variance analysis and providing actionable business insights
  • Monitoring customer and product profitability
  • Preparing management reports and KPI reporting
  • Coordinating annual budgets and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Supporting cost control initiatives and identifying savings opportunities
  • Managing Capex planning, motivations, ROI calculations, and reviews
  • Investigating stock variances and strengthening internal controls
  • Supporting strategic planning initiatives alongside finance leadership
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing finance team members

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
 
 
Qualifications:
 

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Degree
  • CIMA qualification or CA(SA) qualification

 
Experience:
 

  • 4–5 years of Management Accounting experience
  • Exposure to commercial costing and financial analysis
  • Previous people management experience
  • Experience within processing or manufacturing environments advantageous
  • Strong analytical and business partnering skills
  • SAP experience would be highly beneficial
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive business performance

 
Skills & Competencies:
 

  • Strong management accounting and financial analysis capability
  • Advanced costing and profitability analysis skills
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify margin improvement opportunities
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning expertise
  • Strong variance analysis and reporting skills
  • Capex evaluation and return on investment (ROI) analysis capability
  • Knowledge of cost control principles and operational efficiencies
  • Strong understanding of financial processes within manufacturing or processing environments
  • SAP systems experience and strong financial systems capability
