About the Role
Brentwood Employment Relations Specialists is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing complex financial processes and providing expert guidance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Manage Accounts Payable and expense reimbursement processes in Airbase
- Manage and sync contracts between Salesforce and Sage Intacct systems
- Generate AR invoices in multiple currencies
- Generate and send statements to customers and manage debt collections
- Reconcile Bank accounts
- Review and analyze accounting transactions for completeness and accuracy
- Manage payroll process, including payroll processing with our 3rd party processor, recording in ERP, and maintaining appropriate supporting schedules
- Manage VAT and payroll tax, and work with local tax authorities and legal advisors
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform the annual audit
- Assist in documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Recommend opportunities for improvement
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of the Company’s financial information
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- BA/BS in accounting or related field
- Sage Intacct or similar ERP a must have
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience a plus
- Airbase or similar AP and Expense Management system experience a plus
- Minimum 5 years of related experience, SaaS or Tech industry a plus
Qualifications
- Knowledge and proficiency with GAAP principles
- Well versed with month end close process, including journal entries, performing cash and other reconciliations, and maintaining supporting schedules
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Expense reimbursements
- Ability to efficiently manage time as well as handle multiple responsibilities
- Skilled team player with interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and a track record of successfully working with cross-functional business leaders
