About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Conveyancing Secretary to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and conveyancing skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of transactions from instruction through to registration and finalisation
- Handle residential and commercial property transfers
- Prepare and manage files accurately in line with firm standards
- Draft conveyancing documentation
- Liaise with banks (RMB/FNB), municipalities, estate agents, Deeds Office, and other stakeholders
- Obtain Transfer Duty and Rates Clearance Certificates
- Attend to lodgements, registrations, bond cancellations, and bonds
- Manage all financial aspects related to conveyancing transactions
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Legal Secretary / Paralegal / Conveyancing qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years conveyancing secretarial experience
- Strong experience with RMB / FNB Private Wealth (advantageous)
