About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a workshop team, providing technical guidance to service advisors, and ensuring compliance with OEM processes in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Technician productivity and efficiency
  • Support service advisors with technical guidance
  • Assist with diagnostics escalation and workshop planning
  • Maintain OEM process compliance
  • Provide strong communication skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a Workshop Foreman within the Automotive Industry
  • Relevant Trade Test qualifications (merSETA | Olifantsfontein | QCTO)
  • Strong Technical and Communication skills

Job Description

About the Role

The Workshop Foreman is a key position in our Cape Town City Centre facility, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our equipment and machinery. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong leadership skills to lead our team and ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
  • Lead a team of technicians in performing repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and optimize production
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards and within budget

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience within the Agricultural | FMCG Industry in a Managerial capacity
  • Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic certification
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong Leadership and Team Management skills
  • Good Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 10 or 14) with own transport
