EXECUTIVE SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST
[REPORTS TO] CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an Executive Support and Communications Specialist to enable the CEO’s effectiveness through proactive executive support, structured gatekeeping, and high-quality communication. The role owns the CEO’s time, access, information flow, and readiness, while also shaping and delivering a clear, credible, and consistent leadership narrative internally and externally. It translates CEO intent, strategy, and change priorities into communication that drives alignment, reinforces culture, and builds trust with stakeholders.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Enable the CEO’s effectiveness through proactive management of time, access, information flow, and executive readiness.
- Act as a trusted gatekeeper, ensuring structured prioritisation, confidentiality, and disciplined follow-through on CEO commitments.
- Shape and deliver a clear, credible, and consistent CEO leadership narrative across internal and external platforms.
- Drive organisational alignment through effective internal communication and leadership messaging.
- Strengthen brand trust and CEO visibility through well-prepared engagements, events, media interactions, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure all CEO engagements are supported by well-researched, accurate, and fit-for-purpose content.

You are confident, dynamic, and socially agile, with a strong sense of presence and emotional intelligence. You are comfortable engaging across senior, public, and informal settings, able to read the room and adapt your message with ease. Curious and well-informed, you take pride in representing the CEO with credibility, judgement, and polish. You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and trusted with confidential information. You enjoy creating structure, anticipating needs, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
EXPERIENCE
- 3–7 years’ experience supporting senior leaders in executive support, communications, or related roles
- Strong exposure to content creation, digital communication, and social media
- Experience supporting events, leadership communication, or PR initiative
KNOWLEDGE
- Executive support best practices, including calendar, inbox, and access management
- Executive and leadership communication practices
- Internal and external communication platforms and engagement channels
- Digital communication and social media (including LinkedIn)
- Speechwriting, briefing preparation, and executive protocol
- Digital productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Outlook / Workspace)

- CEO Voice Shaper: Crafting and delivering clear, credible messaging that reflects the CEO’s voice across platforms and moments.
- Narrative Builder: Translating strategy, change, and culture into communication that aligns and inspires.
- Platform Curator: Managing internal and external communication channels to ensure consistency, relevance, and engagement.
- Visibility Enabler: Supporting CEO presence at events, forums, and engagements with the right messaging and protocol.
- Content Producer: Researching, writing, and refining speeches, briefs, and talking points that land with impact.
WHAT OTHER DETAILS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS MAKE OUR EYES LIGHT UP, YOU ASK?
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- Strong executive-level writing and messaging capability
- Proven ability to create compelling content across digital, live, and leadership platforms
- Experience coordinating media, PR, and external communication partners
- Solid research and insight development skills to support speeches and engagements
- Comfortable coordinating stakeholders and agencies to deliver high-quality communication outputs
