Job Description
Our client in the industrial manufacturing and automotive industry is seeking to employ an experienced Industrial Sales Representative to join their Sales and Marketing team based in Bloemfontein.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving industrial sales growth, maintaining market share, developing new business opportunities, and managing customer relationships across the Free State and Northern Cape regions. Candidates must be based in either Bloemfontein or Kimberley.

Requirements:
- Certificate in Sales and Marketing or equivalent (NQF 5)
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing or equivalent (NQF 6) advantageous
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Sales Representative or similar role
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or retail environments
- Strong sales and customer relationship management capability
- Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, ERP, CRM systems)
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify new business and grow market share
- Valid drivers licence
- Must reside in Bloemfontein or Kimberley
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Sales and Business Development
- Drive industrial sales growth in line with company budgets and targets
- Grow market share across all industrial product ranges
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Conduct customer visits according to calling cycles and development plans
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and new dealer development
- Monitor customer buying patterns and sales trends
- Provide recommendations to improve sales performance and product uptake
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Provide customers with technical product updates and training
- Resolve and manage customer queries and complaints
- Assist customers with credit applications and account openings
- Maintain excellent customer service levels and stakeholder engagement
Sales Reporting and Market Analysis
- Compile monthly sales reports and feedback for management
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments
- Conduct pricing surveys and market analysis
- Report technical developments and market trends to management
- Maintain accurate CRM and customer master data
Marketing and Sales Optimisation
- Implement sales and marketing initiatives aligned to company strategy
- Support promotional campaigns and marketing activities
- Recommend product enhancements and sales improvement initiatives
- Assist customers in aligning strategies with company objectives
Compliance and Financial Control
- Ensure compliance with company sales policies and procedures
- Manage warranty claims according to company standards
- Monitor debtors and support collections processes
- Ensure operational expenses are controlled within budget
- Manage discounts within approved parameters
