Aspire Recruiting is currently partnering with a prominent enterprise within the food production sector to source a highly methodical and energetic Training Officer. This role is vital for an agile, high-volume production environment, focusing on shaping a highly competent, safety-orientated manufacturing workforce. If you excel at driving capability development and possess extensive technical milling expertise, this represents a prime executive placement opportunity.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operational Protocol Instruction: Spearhead the delivery of critical operational workflows and standardised procedures to foster a highly aware, zero-harm production culture.
  • Capability Audits: Perform continuous, rigorous skills evaluations across the plant floor to identify knowledge gaps and formulate targeted developmental interventions.
  • Staff Integration & Mentoring: Champion the induction of incoming staff, providing hands-on coaching and dedicated support to ensure their rapid and effective assimilation into production teams.
  • Hands-On Skills Transfer: Direct practical, shop-floor learning initiatives with a heavy emphasis on milling mechanics, plant hygiene standards, stringent quality control measures, and workplace safety compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Educational Foundation: A valid Matric (National Senior Certificate) or a recognised NQF Level 4 equivalent.
  • Industry Accreditation: Mandatory possession of a formal, recognised trade accreditation (specifically a SAGMA or GMF qualification).
  • Technical Pedigree: A minimum of 15 years of continuous, hands-on operational experience within an industrial milling environment is strictly required.
  • Mobility & Access: Applicants must hold a valid South African drivers licence and have their own reliable, independent transport.
  • Interpersonal Proficiency: Stellar communication abilities are non-negotiable. Multilingual fluency (encompassing English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, and Sesotho) is highly preferred to ensure impactful engagement with a diverse production workforce.
