Cape Town City Centre: Finance Business Partner / 2IC to Financial Manager

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner will be 2IC to an experienced Financial Manager, providing support in day-to-day finance activities and contributing to finance and business projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Financial Manager in day-to-day finance activities
  • Contribute to finance and business projects as required
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
  • Support automation and reporting enhancements
  • Work across multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Support divisional teams with financial insights and performance analysis
  • Assist in aligning operational activities with financial targets
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Provide input into decision making through financial analysis
  • Build and maintain financial models for business cases, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist in translating business activities into financial outcomes
  • Prepare monthly reports, including variance analysis
  • Track performance against budgets and highlight key movements
  • Support improvements in reporting accuracy and timelines
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and IFRS
  • Assist with audit preparation and queries
  • Help identify and address control gaps where needed

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (SA) / CA(SA) / CIMA / CFA
  • Financial modelling and analysis experience working with budgets, forecasts, and reporting
  • Enjoys working on multiple projects
  • ERP systems experience; Power BI or equivalent analytics tools advantageous
  • Advanced Excel (non-negotiable)
