About the Role
The General Factory Worker supports daily production operations within a corrugated board manufacturing environment, playing a crucial role in maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist on corrugator and converting machines
- Pack finished corrugated board products according to specifications
- Strap and secure bundles for storage and dispatch
- Count, sort, and inspect products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Perform quality checks using a tape measure or digital caliper
- Remove waste material and maintain clean, organised workstations
- Assist with loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods
- Adhere to all health, safety, and machine operating procedures
- Report defects, damages, and safety concerns to supervisors
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in a production environment
- Willingness to work around machinery and follow strict safety procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
- Basic numeracy skills for counting and stock checking
