Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Systems and Field Engineer with a specialization in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to develop electrical system designs and specifications.
• Plan and implement electrical system installations, including equipment and materials selection.
• Conduct quality control assessments to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, both on-site and remotely.
• Perform regular maintenance and periodic inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians and other team members.
• Review and interpret electrical system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry practices.
• Perform electrical system modelling, protection design, protection and system commissioning, bill of quantities and AutoCAD drawings. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) with 3-5 years of experience
• National diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) with 5-10 years of experience
• Drivers’ licence 
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Team player but also independent worker
• Must be willing to travel and sleep out occasionally
• Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
