About the Role
Hire Resolve is urgently seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join their General Ward in Cape Town, Western Cape. We require a skilled and experienced professional to provide high-quality patient care and support our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report abnormalities.
- Administer prescribed medication and assist with basic medical procedures.
- Provide personal care and support with mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and handovers.
- Support infection prevention and adhere to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Assist in wound care, specimen collection, and dressing changes.
- Participate in training and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Enrolled Nurse qualification from an accredited nursing school.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- 12 years of relevant nursing experience in a general ward or similar clinical environment.
- Basic knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care, and medication administration.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the healthcare team.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
- Basic computer literacy, especially in patient record systems.
- Commitment to infection prevention, safety, and quality care standards.
