Job Description

Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Enrolled Nurse for their General Ward in Cape Town, Western Cape.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and record patients vital signs and report abnormalities.
Administer prescribed medication and assist with basic medical procedures.
Provide personal care and support with mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.
Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and handovers.
Support infection prevention and adhere to safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Assist in wound care, specimen collection, and dressing changes.
Participate in training and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

Enrolled Nurse qualification from an accredited nursing school.
Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
12 years of relevant nursing experience in a general ward or similar clinical environment.
Basic knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care, and medication administration.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the healthcare team.
Ability to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
Basic computer literacy, especially in patient record systems.
Commitment to infection prevention, safety, and quality care standards.
