About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records, preparing financial reports, and providing expert financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly reconciliations across AR, AP, fixed assets, leases & inventory
- Process and manage bank transactions via ERP systems
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with IFRS & US GAAP
- Assist with audits
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years’ general accounting experience
- Knowledge of IFRS (US GAAP advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- English fluency (French advantageous)
Qualifications
- Professional Accountant (SA) / AGA (SA)
- SAIPA/SAICA Articles
