Job Description
- 3D Modelling & Manufacturing Drawings: Use SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models of refrigeration skids, pressure vessels, and piping assemblies.
- Data Management: Manage drawing revisions, assemblies, and part files within the SolidWorks EPDM environment.
- System Schematics: Develop and update detailed P&IDs using DraftSight to represent complex system layouts accurately.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering standards (e.g., ASME B31.5, PD5500) and class requirements (e.g., DNV).
- Bill of Materials (BOM): Generate and maintain accurate BOMs for procurement and production teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering management and production teams to resolve design challenges and optimize manufacturing workflows.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a recognized Draughting Qualification.
Software Proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (Essential).
- Experience with SolidWorks EPDM/PDM (Essential).
- Proficiency in DraftSight or AutoCAD for 2D schematics.
Industry Experience:
- Preferred: Experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems.
- Alternative: Strong background in heavy steel manufacturing or the oil and gas industry.
Technical Knowledge:
- * Proven experience working with pressure equipment (vessels and piping).
- Ability to interpret and create complex system drawings and P&IDs.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including welding symbols and tolerances.

- Precision: Exceptional attention to detail in technical documentation.
- Problem Solving: Ability to visualize complex mechanical systems and identify potential design clashes.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn the niche technicalities of ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems.
