About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to contribute to the growth and success of their graph intelligence platform. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing applications, databases, and software solutions that drive real-time data analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design client-side and server-side architecture.
  • Build visually appealing front-end applications.
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
  • Write effective, secure APIs and technical documentation.
  • Ideate software solutions with product managers and development teams.
  • Manage and technically lead client solutions and assist in product development.
  • Provide technical support for sales and projects.
  • Show initiative through empowered execution and minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to improve software performance.
  • Liaise with client technical teams and represent the organization at events.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of a very good Matric pass (Maths and IT non-negotiable) and a minimum of a one-year IT diploma including Java or similar OOP language.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrable Web GUI Java development skills.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience: 510 years as a Full Stack Developer with proven experience in Java or Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Technical Stack:
  • Graph technology and Graph databases.
  • NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
  • Big Data & Messaging: Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or other middleware.
  • API Development: JSON REST Service and APIs.
  • Tools: Notebook environments (e.g., Jupyter Notebooks).

About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our client’s team. The Senior Software Developer is primarily responsible for designing and developing software products that align with the stakeholders’ needs and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality code by adhering to company standards, actively participating in code reviews, and consistently updating and refactoring existing code based on feedback and evolving requirements.
  • Create thorough unit and integration tests for the codebase, regularly reviewing and updating them to align with evolving code, and actively participate in system and acceptance testing phases to ensure smooth deployment and releases.
  • Generate thorough code comments, develop detailed user manuals and API documentation, consistently update documentation to reflect feature changes, and draft/maintain technical design documents for new features or system architectures.
  • Comprehend project requirements, translate them into technical tasks, develop features and fixes within specified timeframes, and maintain regular communication with collaborators and the Software Development Manager to provide progress updates.
  • Provide valuable support to junior developers by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and participating in collaborative learning initiatives, fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Collaborate with team members on shared tasks, actively contribute to code reviews by providing constructive feedback and learning from peers, participate productively in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, and engage in pair programming when necessary.
  • Address incoming user queries or issues promptly, ensure timely resolution of all reported problems, collaborate with the support team to rectify user-reported bugs, and create post-mortem reports for critical issues to improve future system reliability and performance.
  • Effectively manage tasks to meet deadlines, identify and address personal skill development areas, set and adhere to deadlines with proactive communication, establish goals and action plans, and allocate time for ongoing learning through self-study, workshops, webinars, or conferences.
