About the Role

A well-established organisation in the engineering space, based in Centurion, is seeking a driven, detail-oriented and solutions-focused Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of core financial processes, contribute to strategic decision-making, and step into a leadership position within a results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing
Prepare and analyse financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
Supervise monthly reconciliations and reporting
Lead annual audit preparations and liaise with external auditors
Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations
Provide strategic financial insights to guide management decisions
Support implementation and improvement of financial systems and internal controls
Mentor junior team members and support their development
Maintain financial data integrity and accuracy
Assist with special financial projects as required

Requirements

BCom in Accounting or related field
SAIPA qualification preferred but not essential
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
Engineering and Mining industry experience is highly beneficial
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
