About the Role

GAP Consulting is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in heavy earthmoving equipment to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, as well as providing technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex engine problems
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on Heavy Earthmoving equipment in the Mining Industry
  • N3 Engineering Certificate required
  • Relevant Tertiary Education required
  • Recognized Diesel Mechanic Trade Test (Red Seal)
  • Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required
  • Contactable References and Payslips required
