About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer Intern to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT field services and develop your skills in resolving technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- End user support – Resolve logged incidents
- Communicate, dress, and display positive attitude
- Ensure incident is resolved on first contact within SLA
- Ensure compliance to pending rules is followed
- Quality data input – Ensure that data captured on Resolve IT incident is accurate
- Preventative maintenance – Identify possible risks
- Deploy, Monitor, Repair, Support & Manage Desktops
- Manage Windows Operating Systems
- Office Automation Software
- Printers
- Scanners
- Setup desktops & peripherals & test network connections
- Install software
Requirements
- Completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in IT (i.e. Diploma in IT; Support Services, Computer Systems, Bsc. in IT)
- Valid drivers license (advantageous)
- Computer literate
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite, Access, e-mail, internet
- No criminal record
- Currently unemployed
- Not participating on another learnership or internship program
- Currently not enrolled with any other tertiary institution
- Currently living in Durban, KwaZulu Natal (relocation is NOT an option)
- Under the age of 35 as of 31 July 2026
- South African Citizen
- African, Coloured and Indian
Qualifications
- IT Diploma
- CompTIA A and N Relevant OEM certifications (HP, Dell, Lenovo)
- ITIL v3 Foundations Certificate (advantageous)
