About the Role
A leading supplier within the electrical and industrial motor sector is seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to join their Durban team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling electric motors, gearboxes, and related industrial equipment while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and developing new business within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell electric motors, gearboxes, and related industrial products
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers
- Identify new business opportunities within the Durban and KZN region
- Provide technical advice and product support to clients
- Prepare and submit quotations and follow up on sales opportunities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Conduct client visits and site assessments
- Liaise with internal technical, logistics, and support teams
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate sales records and reporting
Requirements
- Matric essential
- Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering advantageous
- Proven experience in technical sales (electric motors, drives, or industrial equipment essential)
- Strong understanding of electric motors, gearboxes, and industrial applications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Valid drivers licence essential
