About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive Management professional with a deep understanding of our brand portfolio to lead the onboarding of new franchise restaurants in South Africa. As Head of Restaurant Ops Mngr, you will be responsible for starting a new franchise group into the country and overseeing all aspects of operations, from site identification to shopfitting installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify sites for new franchise locations
  • Negotiate lease agreements
  • Import equipment and oversee setup
  • Design outlet layouts and implement shopfitting installations
  • Establish business licensing in South Africa
  • Ensure profitability of each operation
  • Manage total onboarding of the brand, from location sourcing to operations management to further expansion in franchise restaurants

Requirements

  • Tertiary Diploma
  • 10 years plus experience in full service franchise restaurants (NOT IN HOTELS OR QSR)
  • Currently a Head of Business / Executive Operations Manager within one of the following brands:
  • Mugg and Bean
  • Tashas
  • News Cafe
  • Bootleggers
