About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Video Editor / Animator to join our team in Durban, responsible for turning raw footage into compelling video content for a premier sports brand. The ideal candidate will be passionate about rugby and have a creative eye for storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce high-quality video content from match footage, training sessions, and player interviews.
- Create motion graphics, animations, text overlays, and visual effects to elevate storytelling.
- Handle sound design, including music selection and audio mixing for professional-grade output.
- Optimize edits for different platforms, including vertical formats for TikTok and Reels.
- Work to tight deadlines around match days, delivering real-time edits and post-match highlights.
- Suggest creative approaches and iterate on edits based on feedback and performance data.
- Maintain organized project files and asset libraries for efficient team workflow.
Requirements
- 4 years of professional experience as a Video Editor or Motion Graphics Artist.
- Relevant qualification in Film/Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Animation, or equivalent proven experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Strong portfolio showcasing fast-paced edits, short-form social content, and motion graphics.
