About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Storeman/Forklift Driver to join our team in Durbanville. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming stock and materials, as well as operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock and materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare stock for dispatch according to company procedures
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and moving stock
- Stack, wrap, and secure pallets for storage and transportation
- Ensure all stock is correctly labelled and stored in designated areas
- Maintain accurate stock control and assist with stock counts and inventory checks
- Keep the warehouse and storage areas neat, clean, and organised at all times
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with loading and offloading vehicles when required
- Report damaged stock, equipment faults, or safety hazards immediately
- Perform general housekeeping and storeman duties as assigned by management
- Assist with maintaining warehouse security and preventing stock losses
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid forklift licence/certification
- Minimum 23 years experience in a warehouse or storeman role
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock safely
- Good understanding of warehouse procedures and stock handling
- Ability to stack and wrap pallets correctly and safely
- Basic numeracy and administrative skills
- Good communication skills in English
