About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Drone Pilot & Field Agent to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a young, fit, and keen individual to play a crucial role in modern agriculture by applying drone technology and agronomic principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Drone Mapping: You will be responsible for conducting daily drone flights to map designated farm areas. Attention to detail is key.
- Data Processing: You’ll use DJI Terra software to stitch together the aerial images and create accurate, high-resolution maps.
- Field Scouting: Beyond the drone work, you will be expected to perform on-the-ground field scouting, identifying issues, and reporting your findings.
- Reporting: You will accurately document and report on both your drone mapping results and your field observations.
Requirements
- Valid RPC Document: You must hold a valid Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) to operate drones legally.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential for traveling to and from different farm locations.
- Physical Fitness & Clean Habits: The role requires physical activity and a reliable work ethic. We are looking for someone who is fit and maintains a clean lifestyle.
- Eagerness to Learn: A genuine interest in and willingness to learn about agriculture and agronomics is a must. This role is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge in this field.
- Basic Computer Literacy: You should be comfortable using a computer and be able to quickly learn new software like DJI Terra.
