About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Creditors Clerk to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions in East London. As a Junior Creditors Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing of transactions on the ledger and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timeous processing of transactions on the ledger and paying attention to details of the invoices
- Process credit notes against invoices
- Obtain statements from suppliers and reconcile creditors per month on the 15th of the following month
- Ensure new suppliers are accurately loaded on Sage with the correct, adequate and valid documentation attached
- Ensure the new suppliers are loaded as beneficiaries in the bank with correct paperwork uploaded on the server
- Reconcile ewallets, staff loans, debit cards and hotel accommodations weekly
- Reconcile fuel weekly for all the company’s sites
- Monitor fuel to ensure the funds have not depleted and prepare bulk top up payment packs
- Update payments register regularly
- Load COD payments in the bank on payment days
- Load creditors in the bank to be released end of the month
- Extract proof of payments from the bank and prepare remittances to send with pops to suppliers after payments are released
- Complete credit applications accurately for account opening with COD suppliers
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Tertiary qualification is advantageous
- 2 -3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working on Sage
- Reliable transport
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this position. However, a tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
